Shree Bhat Tyag Divas

Commemorating the self-sacrifice of Pandit Shriya Bhat (15th century), who cured the dreadful disease of Sultan Zain-ul-Abidin and, instead of wealth, negotiated the safety and security of Kashmiri Pandits and their temples, bringing back Hindus who had fled the valley. Observed on Chaitra Amavasya as part of the Navreh Mahotsav.
